SCREW CONVEYOR REBUILDING
Every screw conveyor application is different but we frequently see worn-out flights on a pipe that is still sound with drive and tail shafts are still in good condition. This can be an ideal case for rebuilding a screw rather than buying a new one. Screws can be re-flighted – all flights or just a few depending upon the condition.
During a rebuild can be a good time to consider upgrading materials – perhaps with an abrasion-resistant steel, cladding or hard-facing on the pipe, or other changes to provide longer life.
