Pfister® DRW feeders are an industry standard for feeding pulverized coal. Precision has developed a procedure for refurbishing the key internal components of the DRW – the rotor and the sealing plate. To operate at peak efficiency, these components must be flat, have parallel top and bottom surfaces, and maintain a minimum thickness.
Precision’s refurbishing program is done in two steps: assessment and rework. We begin by making a detailed measurement of the components and checking very carefully for cracks, gouges, and generally assessing whether or not the components can be refurbished. Rework is accomplished through a combination of machining and grinding with continuous QC to make sure the refurbished component conforms to specifications.
