Precision Machine & Manufacturing Announces Management Buyout

Precision Machine & Manufacturing Co. (PMM) announced today the completion of a management-led acquisition of the company from the retiring owners, Jim and Colleen Miller.  The investment team is led by Kirk Morton, company President. Funding to support the acquisition was provided by Central Valley Fund (CVF) and Socius Capital.

Morton has directed the company’s sales and production operations since joining the company in 2011, and will continue to lead the company, having made a significant personal investment as part of the acquisition.

 ”The acquisition brings additional capital to the company to help accelerate our long-held strategy of expanding our geographic footprint and broad portfolio of products and services,” said Kirk Morton.  “PMM has a demonstrated track record of growth, and we will continue to improve our position as a valued partner to our customers and vendors.”

Trade Show: Precision Machine to Attend Timber Processing & Energy Expo

Precision Machine & Manufacturing, Inc., is excited to be attending the Timber Processing & Energy Expo in Portland, Oregon on October 17-19, 2012. The event is held at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center and will be sponsored by Hatton-Brown Expositions, which publishes magazines in the forest products industry, such as Timber Processing, Panel World and Wood Bioenergy. Precision Machine & Manufacturing, Inc. Partners with Mayer & Oswald, Inc.

Precision Machine & Manufacturing, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of precision rotary valves, feeders and screw conveyor components, today announced that it has partnered with Mayer & Oswald, Inc., a sales representative firm located in Elgin, Illinois, a suburb west of downtown Chicago. The company will sell Precision Machine’s products and strengthen customer relationships throughout all of Wisconsin, northern Illinois and northern Indiana.

Precision Machine & Manufacturing, Inc. Signs Advanced Technical Sales, Inc.


Precision Machine & Manufacturing, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of precision rotary valves, feeders and screw conveyor components, today announced that it has appointed Advanced Technical Sales, Inc. of Billings, Montana to sell the company’s products in the state of Montana.

Precision Machine Partners with Power Process Equipment, Inc.

Precision Machine & Manufacturing, Inc., announced that it has partnered with Power Process Equipment, Inc., a sales firm with headquarters in Minneapolis, Minn. and offices in South Dakota and Iowa.

Precision Machine Partners with Flo-Dynamics Components


Precision Machine has partnered with Flo-Dynamics Components, Inc., a New England sales firm with headquarters in Westford, Massachusetts and offices throughout New England and New York, to solidify current customer relationships in the area and build sales.

(Eugene, Oregon) -  Eugene-based Precision Machine & Mfg. Inc. (PMM) has been named one of the 100 fastest-growing private companies in Oregon in the annual survey conducted by the Portland Business Journal.

PMM posted revenue growth of nearly 38% from 2006 to 2008 and was ranked 75th in the prestigious survey.  The company’s employment grew by nearly a third over the two year period, to 42.

PMM, founded in 1977, is a leading manufacturer of rotary valves, rotary feeders and screw conveyors and features the revolutionary PMV® modular rotary valve, the only completely rebuildable unit on the market.

Precision Machine & Mfg. Inc. of West Eugene announced the appointment of Steven Bonini to the position of Fabrication Shop Foreman, replacing Dennis Holte who is retiring April 7, 2009 after 19 years of service with the company.

Bonini, who lives in Veneta, has been a fabricator with Precision Machine since 2001.

(Eugene, Oregon) -  Eugene-based Precision Machine & Mfg. Inc. (PMM) reported that 2008 was another record-breaking year for the 31-year-old company.  Sales increased by 28% over 2007 and employment grew by 10%.

PMM President, James P. Miller, made the announcement, saying, “While many companies around the Northwest are struggling in hard economic times, we have increased sales every year for the past five years, more than doubling our 2003 sales and growing from 28 employees to 44 in that time.”

“We have great products, great customers and a great team,” Miller said.  “We may be swimming against the economic climate, but we still have a strong backlog.  Many of our customers are essentially recession-proof, and that helps us look forward to a very good 2009.”

PMM is a leading manufacturer of rotary valves, rotary feeders and screw conveyor products used in dry bulk material handling applications.  Products handled include ash, coke, coal, diatomaceous earth, wood chips and pebble-lime, to name a few.  The company also does custom machining and fabrication.

PMM serves customers throughout North America in the cogeneration power, wood products, mining, cement, coal, rice and pharmaceutical industries.
