PRECISION MACHINE & MFG. INC. COMPLETES RECORD-BREAKING YEAR

(Eugene, Oregon) -  Eugene-based Precision Machine & Mfg. Inc. (PMM) reported that 2008 was another record-breaking year for the 31-year-old company.  Sales increased by 28% over 2007 and employment grew by 10%.

PMM President, James P. Miller, made the announcement, saying, “While many companies around the Northwest are struggling in hard economic times, we have increased sales every year for the past five years, more than doubling our 2003 sales and growing from 28 employees to 44 in that time.”

“We have great products, great customers and a great team,” Miller said.  “We may be swimming against the economic climate, but we still have a strong backlog.  Many of our customers are essentially recession-proof, and that helps us look forward to a very good 2009.”

PMM is a leading manufacturer of rotary valves, rotary feeders and screw conveyor products used in dry bulk material handling applications.  Products handled include ash, coke, coal, diatomaceous earth, wood chips and pebble-lime, to name a few.  The company also does custom machining and fabrication.

PMM serves customers throughout North America in the cogeneration power, wood products, mining, cement, coal, rice and pharmaceutical industries.

The company was founded in Eugene in 1977 and Miller assumed ownership in 2003.  Its website is www.premach.com.
